The Grieg Academy started the fall semester of 2023 with a concert at Johanneskirken on August 25.
The preceding year prof. Einar Røttingen had worked with the piano students at GA, taking them through all 25 pieces of Ruth Bakke’s PANO-PIANO.

On GA’s opening concert 2 groups of 4 students each performed the compositions «Fabeldyret» and «Klangbilde» (SoundScape)
Another great piano teacher working very well with children and the Pano-Piano is Annabel Guaita. She’s very good at engaging the children asking questions and have them wondering. Here is some more info on how she’s working with children and my new music:
September 16 the young Belarusian pianist Olga Stezhko (who lives in exile in London) gave a great interpretation of my piano composition In Memoriam (Alta) (my protest in 1980 against the damming of the Alta river) at a New Music concert in Bergen. Later in September she also played it in Oslo and in Drammen.
